GeForce Now Hohere bandwidth is always open
The necessity of bandwidth for cloud gaming performance is demonstrated through the example of Google Stadia. With Nvidia’s GeForce Now, it appears similar.
Officially, the following requirements are in effect (as stated within the Nvidia FAQ):
In any event, your speed must be at least 15 Mbps. This will allow 60 FPS However, consistent, smooth performance isn’t guaranteeable. This is in addition to when your connection is being used by other programs, for example, Netflix streaming or downloading a download. Ideally, you’ll have at least 25 Mbit/s of bandwidth available.
To support 1080p and 60FPS, 25 Mbit/s is required. In this case, too, it’s clear that this is the minimum. It could be higher. The benefit of a line of 50 is obvious.
Fur 4K running at 60 FPS, it must be at least 40 Mbit/s. For 1440p (or 2K) at 120 FPS, 35 Mbit/s is the minimum. To achieve these two levels of performance, the RTX-3080 service is also needed.
As high-speed internet is offered to most homes in Germany and elsewhere, an upgrade to support cloud gamers is worthwhile to consider.
Additionally, Nvidia recommends connecting the end device to the router with a cable. For your router’s specifications, it is recommended to use a 5-GHz model is suggested. This is in no way too high in the present. So, the market will not provide affordable solutions for people who wish to take on cloud gaming properly.
