It was just over two years ago that the Frontierin Jurassic World Evolutionmade us the owner of our park for dinosaurs. In the beginning, the simulation was entertaining with its excellent performance in our tests however; it did not reach its full potential because the game’s mechanics were rather basic and did not have the creativity and development capabilities similar to other games. The game is now complete with the release of Return to Jurassic Park, and the third and most expansive expansion is finally available. The DLC allows us to return to the island shortly following the events of the initial section to make it accessible to the general public following the disaster. Is this a great idea?

Welcome to the nostalgic tour

In the Return To Jurassic Park, we enter an alternative scenario just when the death of Dr. Alan Grant and his companions managed to escape the park’s failure. We are the park’s managers because, after all, there are a lot of profits to be made. And what’s a tragedy that has claimed many lives compared to the wealth of the universe? When we arrive at Isla Sorna – the first of two islands that have been created the first thing we see is that the destruction is relatively small for an incredibly tragic incident involving dinosaurs; however, we could not have believed the magnitude of the damage to be much more extensive. Isla Sorna primarily serves as an instructional site. So, our first responsibilities are to repair damages to buildings in the past and build new facilities. This is the reason we are cautious about the game’s mechanics. For those who have played before, these mechanics are familiar from the main game; however, there are some new features. In addition, people who visit the park will no longer be allowed to explore the park by walking like in the 1993 film where the public is taken between enclosures using an underground rail system. This kind of transportation and its automobiles is not just a source of joy with nostalgia and comfort. However, it also poses new challenges to design as the enclosures must be prepared to make the dinosaurs visible during the tour. To ensure this is the case, you should take a time and develop your ideas.

In the sequel to Jurassic Park , the second island is already getting ready to become more accessible. In the story mode, which lasts from 7 to 8 hours, you will complete numerous tasks you’ve already completed from the main game. You are accompanied, at a minimum, in English by the voice actors Sam Neil, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern. Alongside the iconic design of the structures of Jurassic Park, you will encounter two brand new dinosaurs: the Pteranodon along with the Compsognathus (the tiny critters from Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World), and as an appropriate enclosure.

FAZIT

I had a lot of fun playing The Return of Jurassic Park even though I knew many of the missions from the original game. We are responsible for the health of our dinosaurs. We fight natural disasters and ensure that our guests aren’t eaten. With the skins of familiar structures from the movie and those voices from the characters from Jurassic Park , a delightfully nostalgic feeling is felt when playing. However, the DLC comes with the same issue for me as the main game: you cannot let your creativity play as freely as you can in other games. Planet Zoo isalso from the studio Frontieris quite complex in this regard. This is precisely the kind of complexity I would have loved, Dinos. However, I did enjoy some enjoyable time playing the Return To Jurassic Parkand can recommend the DLC to players of the original game with no guilt!
